Tactical Pen Defense

Course material covers training in the proper carry, usage and overall safe handling of a tactical pen for self-defense in unexpected altercations at conversational distances. This course provides training in weaponless defense against sudden assaults and multiple attackers at close quarters – approximately six (6) to eight (8) feet. This material is additionally applicable if suddenly confronted with a firearm or hand-held object such as a knife, screwdriver, steel or metal shank, broken bottle, etc., and there is no time to escape or use other options. Instruction includes Tactical pen deployment, rapid deployment and combative handling, advantages & disadvantages of types of tactical pens, disarm techniques with a pen, defense angles & distance risk metrics, leverage & contact weapon mechanics, wound analysis & effects, target & defensive anatomy and threat management.
